Every role across the Trust plays it's part in transforming our canals and rivers into spaces where local people want to spend time and feel better, bringing wellbeing benefits to millions. Providing the Trust with expertise to deliver maintenance and repair works on our waterways.
As a Waterway Operative most of your working time is spent in our unique and wonderful outdoor environment on the London Waterway covering up to 20km of the towpath in the Docklands, E14 9ST area. Your daily tasks will vary and will contribute to the maintenance, conservation and improvement of the business unit’s waterway network for local communities and visitors to enjoy.
The working hours are on a rota basis, working 5 days in 7 including weekends. You will also be involved in an on call out of hours rota.
