We have an exciting new vacancy for a legacy executive. In this role you will promote the Trust and help build a programme which cements relationships with our loyal supporters and builds on our successful fundraising programme.

About the role:
You will help establish our legacy and in-mem marketing and stewardship programme to grow income, ensuring a great supporter experience. With excellent organisational skills you will ensure our programme runs smoothly, whilst delivering a marketing, communications and events programme. You will be both sensitive to audience requirements and passionate about the opportunity waterways have around legacy or in memory gift. Cultivating relationships with volunteers, supporters and visitors will be essential as will a keen eye for detail, ensuring ongoing administration of the programme across our six regions working on the operational delivery.
To succeed, you will need a proven track record of administering legacy and in memory programmes and campaigns. Your experience will mean you are equally comfortable with helping to run legacy marketing campaigns and events, alongside managing and running the day-to-day delivery of a programme including all the administration. You will be confident and comfortable in the sensitive stewardship of a range of prospects, supporters and key external partners.
You must have experience of liaising with specialist agencies and suppliers and will have worked on legacy programmes that have shown significant growth. A good knowledge of GDPR, systems and fundraising best practice is essential as is a keen eye for details and administration tasks.
About the team
The role sits within our Marketing & Supporter Development team team and will be based at our offices at the heart of the canal network, in central Birmingham.

You will undertake a wide range or responsibilities to support the Supporter Care & Legacy Manager this will include:
You will be expected to also support the wider supporter care and fundraising team, and experience of individual giving would be an advantage. There could also be some work at events which could be evenings and weekends and must be able to travel.
Salary £25,000 - £27,500 depending upon experience
